Checking off the list from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

We had a great time at Monday Sewing, and I'm improving at accomplishing something while we visit!

How am I doing on completing the samples that I need to have in my suitcase by 1 p.m.? The binding was put on the small machine-embroidered (quilted) quilt.

The binding is done!

Then, I got to work on the floating stitches sample. Like the previous quilt, these blocks were part of a tutorial for a QUILTsocial tutorial, but I ran out of time to finish them. That's because I was trying to make 16 blocks, which takes time. I ...

Done, Done, AND DONE! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Yesterday, it was all about getting things done! I think it was one of my most productive retreat days ever! And how did that happen? I seemed to spend a bit more time sewing and a little less time chatting!

But I still got to chat with everyone, and I still say that I have the best friends and we have the BEST time at Virtual Retreat! It's nice to know that we can laugh and chat without physically being with each other! And we solve all the world's problems! If quilters ruled the world!

OH -- here's ...

Looking for fabric from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm going to have to start blogging at night! I know some people like to read the blog over coffee or breakfast in the morning, and well -- I'm going to be late. Not too late, but it'll have to be short!

Why? Because I started reading a darn audiobook -- that's why! I started it yesterday - only 9 hours, but the darn thing is a page-turner (so to speak!).

I listened with my big headphones on while I was out setting up the sprinkler, then I sat at the kitchen table while I waited 20 minutes to ...

It's all about the LEGO from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm happy to report that one more writing assignment went out the door! Bye-bye! I made good progress on one homework assignment last night and hope to get that out the door this morning. Then one more to do later today. Then all the urgent stuff is gone. Although I have another major writing assignment to start next week.

I did have a pretty free day today, but now I have meetings all afternoon, so I may have to work into the evening again! Sigh............

Then I have 6 articles that need to be written, and I NEED to ...

UFO progress from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I LOVE all of you! And I truly appreciate your reading my blog, and I've received so many fantastic suggestions. Jan gave me a BRILLIANT suggestion for the two UFO Clubs. I will pick a project to work on in one of the UFO clubs, and the assignment for the second one will be to quilt and bind one of my quilts. That's BRILLIANT. I'm going to have to do that as soon, I'm going to run out of room in those tubs, and I really don't want to buy another one.

Yippeee!!! I love ...

All is calm...................... from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh my god!!!!  I'm so excited! Can you believe that I'm feeling under control? The homework is mostly written and sent out. I forgot to include a couple of small things for one group, and it will get tidied up today. The sewing part of the homework is pretty much up-to-date. The writing is mostly up-to-date. I told you this would happen! You just need a little bit of faith! Through it all, I've kept up the walking and some of the gazebo time.

I did have one small SNAFU this morning. I was looking for one ...

No one to blame but myself!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I say that with tongue in cheek! When bad things happen, I always try, very hard, to pass the blame onto someone else, but several things happened yesterday that - well, there was only me to blame. I'm good with that. Let's say that I had a few laughs over it and let's move on!

I was back to the dentist yesterday. Three weeks in a row! I hope that's the last of the dentist until my next cleaning in six months. This time, it was to get some work done on two teeth. Not really cavities ...

So much fabric and nothing works! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Hmm - I'm listening to and reading news about the current situation. What will we call this period when it's over? This time? The current situation? We'll have to come up with a name because it's pretty serious and is something that'll be remembered and its effects will be felt for years to come.

I see the library sent out a note that if you're looking for recommendations that they have lists of recommendations. NO - I am NOT going to check that list. I don't need any more books to read at the moment ...

Technical issues from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Yep - things were going along very smoothly in the technology department. Then yesterday morning when I turned on the PC (OK - so I woke it up - I never seem to turn it off), I got this error message.

Error message

OK -- so I've been reminded for the last couple of days that I need to restart the PC for updates. But seriously? You can't tell me that a critical error could occur because I didn't do that. Lesson learned  -try to shut the computer down each night. I know that isn't going to happen so I ...

A rolling stone gathers no moss....................... from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I think that's a very appropriate expression for me. I'm all about go-go-go! I know that I have an obsessive personality and I take every advantage of when I'm on a roll! The Sit n Sew days get me so fired up and now the Community Projects days get me even more fired up - well - there's NO stopping me now. I WILL get this mess cleaned up. I'm so excited about the prospect and even in my mind, I keep rearranging things to make it better. But ONLY once some of the other stuff has ...
